I continue to value your writing a great deal. That said, my assessment is that we will not deal with climate change until it's far too late. The world's response to the (ongoing!) COVID pandemic shows that even the deaths of at least 8 million globally, 1.2 million in the US alone isn't enough to force change. Climate change is even more ephemeral and hard for anti-science people to observe.
