In America, a majority of white people vote for a party that thinks drag queens and transgender people represent a threat to society, but the clinate crisis doesn't. That same party guts environmental protections, promotes the proliferation of guns, pushes theocratic "educational" standards, and supports and extends systemic racism. Until white voters snap out of their love for the GOP, the doom will deepen. I don't see this happening.
