My father had a stroke and is rehabbing in a nursing home. He's in his late 80s. I'm terrified for him, triple-vaxxed though he is. If there is an outbreak, even if he doesn't catch it, they will ban visitors. I feel my daily visits have significantly helped his progress.

When he was in the hospital, he had to spend the first night in the ER hallway on a gurney. That was 17 days ago, pre-omicron.

And I'm high risk myself. It's a nightmare.
