People are pretending COVID is "over," which it very much isn't. People -- Americans, in particular -- are pretending all these climate events are "just weather," and ignoring it. I wrote a piece on Medium called the United States of Denial about this; we are in deeply challenging straights, and I don't see a way out. However, that doesn't mean we stop trying.
