People like to claim solar doesn't scale... as it continues to scale. Nothing is more scalable than the sun, so presumably people mean lack of materials, yet there is no "peak solar components" the way there's peak oil. Even batteries are looking better with two major lithium discoveries. I'm unconvinced, partly because the developing world is already adopting solar.
