The problem goes far beyond Trump at this point. 75 million mostly white Americans have been turned into reactionaries, and that's very hard to undo. It took humiliating military defeats to de-radicalize Germans and Japanese after WWII. I wonder what could possibly catalyze a positive change among this mob.
