There are no absolutes in this debate. That said, if one were in a position to buy, it’s beneficial down the line. If you can get a 20- or 15- year mortgage, in that amount of time you’ll have no mortgage, only property taxes and upkeep. This isn’t everyone’s dream, but it can be a powerful move toward financial freedom when you own your home outright.
