Trans people are continuously under attack; they are one of the most economically disadvantaged groups and they are recipients of frequent, random violence. There’s a huge difference between accidentally misgendering people and intentionally using transphobic framing to “other” them and dehumanize them. Substitute another group — a racial or religious group — for “trans” and “LGBT” in your comment and it reads pretty poorly, doesn’t it.
