White Ameicans in rural areas and suburban areas are far more the problem in America than your generic "suburbanites." Who is voting for the GOP? Democrats are pretty bad but Republicans are *fascists* who want to drill for more oil. In turn, they activate racism and xenophobia. In this sense, solving racism is a key feature of solving the climate crisis.
