You are choosing to center this insurrectionist's situation and make up apologies for her. When white Americans cause harm, they were "mentally unwell" and/or "sucked into propaganda." No such excuses are extended to BIPOC people who commit crimes. Centering this woman's story as if it were some grand tragedy instead of telling the real story -- that her bigotry and hatred compelled her to engage in an *attempted coup* -- really white-washes reality.
